Decapre Revealed as the Final Ultra Street Fighter IV Character

After months of teasing and speculation, Capcom has finally revealed the final character that will make her debut in Ultra Street Fighter IV later this year. Decapre, who is one of M. Bison’s Dolls, is a clone of Cammy. Well, they’re technically all clones of the same thing, but yes, this is all part of the existing Street Fighter mythology and not just a cheap way to get another character in the game (though that’s probably also the case).

She made her debut at the Final Round tournament, where the winner of the tournament got to face off against Combofiend playing as Decapre. Ryan Hart is a top-tier competitor, but there was only so much he could do against an opposing character he knew nothing about. Decapre looks like she has some absolutely ridiculous tools at her disposal, which should be a treat for players who like to stay on the offensive.

If there’s any caveats here, it’s the fact that Decapre is a charge-based character. Combofiend makes it look like a seamless offensive barrage, but he’s changing all of her special moves in the background, which isn’t something I can do comfortably. Maybe this will be the charge character that gets me into that style of play.

Linked above is a great IGN character breakdown by Combofiend himself where he runs through her moves and some tactics. If you really want to get into the nitty gritty, check it out.

Adding Decapre to the list of Ultra Street Fighter IV updates only makes the package look even sweeter. Besides her, the game includes four characters from Street Fighter X Tekken, six more stages from Street Fighter X Tekken, a full re-balance of every character, red focus attacks, double Ultras, delayed wake-up mechanics, online 3v3 matches, online training mode and local edition select so that vanilla Sagat can face off against AE Yun. All that as a $15 downloadable update to my existing game? Sweet!
